What could be more calming than the sound and the murmur of water? Especially when this water forms a mountain river, fast and surprisingly clean, it is framed by the forest and it flows under the bridge on which you stand. This place helps childless couples and infertile women. There are more than 50 hot springs in the Alla valley. The temperature of the springs is from 50 to 77 degrees. These springs were found in the mid-nineteenth century.
Alla gorge is a beautiful place in Buryatia, and according to Russian and foreign tourists, it is one of the most beautiful places on the whole Earth. The magnificent views of the majestic cliffs and the rapid mountain river are truly breathtaking!
It’s a place of great spiritual power. According to legends, two rocks – the host and hostess of this place, is Buurultaar and Sakhiltaar, guarding the approaches to the gorge. The largest of the peaks – Buurultaar (the white-haired man, smart, distinguished), the second peak, a lower one – Sakhiltaar (brilliant, beautiful), third rock is their daughter, and the smallest one, with a sharp peak at the top, is their son. Four rocks – the family, towering in the Barguzin ridge.
In 2005, in the gorge came Hambo-Lama Damba Ayusheev, who blessed these mountains, said that this is a family and they have much more children then it seems. Hambo-Lama told that he has never seen “Burkhans”, located in groups (usually burhans are alone). Arshan has a Holy place where childless families ask for a child. Many women, thanks to Arshan in Alla, according to their reviews, became mothers.
There is another legend that tells about the appearance of a hot spring: in the early 20th century Buryat lamas showed several out flows of thermal waters. When they went to the expedition, they found a strong man Badma, Bidashka`s son. It was told that he had false vertebrae. He was asked to pull the stone that prevented the exit of springs. Badma, famous for his great strength, easily lifted the cart loaded with firewood and hay. Badma raised four-ton stone, and hot water streamed from under of it, and it was so hot that they had to cool it with cold water. This stone was carried to the other side of the river with the help of many people and a place to worship was arranged there. Later, one of the descendants of Badma, Radnaev Jigmit Badmaevich, said that Badma the Strong didn`t live long after that.
The second legend tells that the sprinfs were found by the hunter-Evenk when he was chasing the wounded salmon.
The hunter was chasing a deer all day long, so they both, the hunter and the deer, were so tired that strength to go on was gone. In the morning the hunter saw a salmon lying in a hot spring. When the hunter tried to get closer, the salmon jumped up and swam away as if he had not been injured. Following the deer, the hunter decided to swim in a hot spring and he felt an incredible surge of strength. Later he told others about it…
Alla is a unique place untouched by man. Here are sacred holy places, the ancestral hunting trails of the Evenks lie here. But first of all, Alla is known as the area that heals body and mental diseases.
